Unilite have branched out into protective safety glasses to complement their existing PPE wear. The SG-YIO comes with a host of features which make them highly desirable in many workplaces. Lets take a look why.
Unilites main concern has always been about helping individuals to see and be seen with their innovative lighting. Now they have turned their focus on protecting your eyes. The SG-YIO have protective lenses that keep the wearers safe from impact and UV rays. The lenses have protection certifications against low energy impact F, High Speed particles at extreme temperatures such as sparks and 99% protection against UV A/B/C (EN170).
To enable this protection, the lenses are an industrial polycarbonate. Built into this are anti-scratch & anti-fog coatings. In addition to these environmental protectors, they are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Whilst its important to have tough lenses in safety glasses, the frames construction can be equally important. The frames have tough nylon-polymer construction. Its 8-base curvature design wraps around your field of vision. This provides optical protection for your eyes.
To ensure comfort for wearers, the SG-YIO has several flexible joints and touch points. Its side arms have Polycarbonate and Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) providing flexibility and comfort. In addition, there are temple shields to provide a high level of ventilation. The same TPR exists on the nose grip, providing non-slip comfort with a reinforced bridge. It comes complete with neat storage bag.
The SG-YIO have the following ratings: CE – EN166, International ANSI Z87.1 & Australian/New Zealand Benchmark AS/NZS 1337.1 certifications, ensuring quality and safety for the wearers.
The SG-YIO is released in mid October and wont be the only protective safety glasses released this year. For constant updates on all of Unilites latest products, please follow our Facebook or Instagram pages and our Blog page.
