Signal Light IL-SIG1 – Giving the green light on signaling innovation

2 Min Read

A signal light is an important safety tool in many industries. This task used to be performed by waving flags but has slowly developed into the technological solutions we see today. Unilites IL-SIG1 is one such invention, being a highly ergonomic signal light like no other!

Ready, Steady, Go!!

It follows the same principles as some of the first signal lights, with red, amber, and green lights. Operated via individual switches, they contain high quality LEDs. As well as having a solid light mode they also have a flash mode. The light generated is strong and can last up to 30 hours on a full charge.

In addition to the 3 signal lights, there is also a frontal white 600 lumen SMD LED and 200 lumen top torch used for inspections and general lighting duties. Powered by a 4400mAh Li-ion battery, it offers a fantastic cost-effective system. A handy red-green charging indicator provides a useful addition.

Signal light built tough!!

Unilites motto is ‘Lights Built Tough’ and the IL-SIG1 follows this mantra. Constructed of ultra-strong aluminium and polycarbonate, all designed to withstand adverse environments. In addition to this it has an IP54 rating, granting protection against dusts and water.

If you find yourself wanting to use the IL-SGI1 handsfree, there are a couple of options. The first is with a magnetic hanging hook, located at the top of the unit. This can be a highly useful addition most signal lights fail to include. In addition, there is a folding ‘kick stand’, for placing on the floor. When used as a handheld device, the ergonomic grips around its body provide comfortable use and with a weight of only 334g, it is not a heavy light.

The upgraded version of this model is due to land at the end of November with 1100 lumen white light and brighter coloured LEDs. The perfect present for anyone’s Christmas stocking. Heck, it could be used on Christmas eve for signaling a certain someone to land safely on your roof!
